Liza Snyder
Snyder was born in Northampton within Massachusetts. Her mother, a songwriter/singer, is her father. He is also a theatre professor of theatre at Smith College. The grandparents of her maternal lineage were a five-time Academy Award-winning composer Johnny Green, and the actress and reporter for the consumer, Betty Furness. Snyder was a student with The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, New York City. She was coached by Sanford Meisner. The career of Snyder began with episodes of television dramas such as The Trials of Rosie O'Neill as well as Murder, She Wrote. The first time she was cast in a major performance as Molly Whelan, in 1993's ABC crime-drama Sirens. In the wake of Sirens's demise, she starred in two television films as well as guest-starring on Chicago Hope and Pacific Blue. Between 1998 and 2000, she was a regular part of the cast on NBC sitcom Jesse which starred Christina Applegate. In the show Pay It Forward directed by Mimi Leder, she played a minor role. Snyder started her acting career on Christine Hughes, a CBS sitcom Yes, Dear, later in the year. The show ended its run in. Snyder went on a hiatus of five years following Yes, Dear. In 2011, Snyder returned to screen in an appearance as a transplant patient on House. She reprised the role of Yes, Dear in an episode of Raising Hope from 2013.
