Awkwafina

Awkwafina was initially a American musician and rapper releasing sly tracks that tackled questions of race and sexuality with a humorous twist. In the years before she stepped to Hollywood, she had the opportunity to make a few songs. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was through the instrument of trumpet. Following her Jazz and classical training She delved into hip-hop in her teen years. Following a focus on education, she graduated with a degree in journalism in college and a women's studies specialization. It wasn't until after graduating that she turned her attention to music. Following her viral success through the Internet, her My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included viral hits like body positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC Bitche$. The latter track was tied to Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. In addition to having a book published, her other career was as a performer. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films such as Neighbors and Storks. Her breakout performances included Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. It was in June that she released In Fina We Trust.
